PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Hello Members,

Wow, there sure is an abundance of activity in Indiana right now!  First Tuesday, Handicap Access, Re-precincting, voting machines, and most importantly, MUSHROOM HUNTING!  Anyway, I have not made contact for awhile and have a few important announcements:

·         We have a date scheduled for our annual summer meeting.  The date is Wednesday, August 3, 2005. The meeting location is at the offices of Quest in Indianapolis and will be a one day event. As usual, there is no registration fee.
I will forward further details such as time, location, agenda, etc; so please mark your calendars!

 ·         Due to the generosity of Mark Rossman and the folks at NTS Data, the IVRA now has a website!  We are in final stages of building and it promises to be a great source for our members regarding all kinds of information.  I will forward you the link as soon as it is ready.

 ·         Hendricks County and nine others are among pilot counties for the SVRS First Tuesday system.  IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, you may open the attachment and get my personal opinion of how I believe the project is flowing.  PLEASE remember this is my view and I did not confer with other pilot counties.

I am looking forward to seeing you all soon and hope that things are going well.  The August meeting will be a different theme than we are used to, it is my hope you will be pleased and leave with a feeling of pride and excitement in the job you do!  Take care and keep shining like the stars that you are!

Kind Regards,
Laura Herzog, IVRA President
